Mary Rowley, APR, President
How do you describe Strongpoint's energetic leader? Journalist? Businesswoman? Educator? Public Speaker? Community leader? YES. Mary's done it all.
President and owner of Strongpoint, Mary Rowley has nearly 30 years of experience in marketing, news reporting and editing (from The Arizona Republic and San Diego Union-Tribune to small local newspapers), consumer and business-to-business communications, state government, and business/government partnerships. She first came to Arizona in 1979 and was immediately hired by The Arizona Republic where she worked for more than a decade, holding positions of increasing responsibility during her tenure.
In 2003, after working in marketing management at the University of Phoenix and as a vice president of a full-service advertising agency, Mary founded Strongpoint. Her public relations expertise has launched programs in an impressive variety of industries including economic development, healthcare, education, real estate, utilities and non-profits.
Nationally accredited in public relations, Mary holds a bachelor's degree in Communications and a master's in Business Administration. A mentor of others in the profession, she teaches marketing and public relations at the University of Phoenix.
Mary currently serves as past president of the American Advertising Federation - Tucson, chair of the Pima Community College Foundation Board of Trustees, a member of the DM 50 and membership chair of the Breakfast Club of Tucson. She also has served as professional development chair of the Public Relations Society of America Southern Arizona Chapter, development chair of the Southern Arizona Women's Foundation, co-chair of the University of Arizona Brain Trust, a member of the Fiesta Bowl Public Relations Committee, and on the board of Valley Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Phoenix Community Council and Valley Leadership in Phoenix.
Mary has been honored as an Arizona Woman of Achievement - Communications, Inside Tucson Business Woman of Influence, YWCA Woman on the Move and most recently earned the Golden Pen award from the American Advertising Federation - Tucson.

Jan Howard, APR, Regional Vice President/Director of Communications
Jan is the "Frank Lloyd Wright" of building client relationships and has been the architect of numerous successful Strongpoint partnerships. Always on call, Jan sees her role as an extension of the client's staff.
Jan brings more than 25 years experience in public relations, integrated marketing, news (from The Tulsa Daily World to the Reuters News Service), legislative advocacy, fund raising, risk management communications, employee communications and consumer relations.
Nationally accredited in public relations, Jan began her career in Washington, DC, as a lobbyist for Texaco, an international oil firm.
Jan later went on to cover the industry as the oil & gas editor for the Tulsa World, a major mid-western newspaper. She left the newspaper business to join the fast-growing Hillcrest Healthcare Network, taking on increasing levels of responsibility over her five years to serve as director of annual giving. As director, she helped create and manage the communications infrastructure for development and fund raising.
She moved to Tucson in 1989 to led the marketing launch of what is now known as the Sarver Heart Center for the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. Following the successful implementation of these efforts, Jan joined Carondelet Health Network, Southern Arizona's largest health care provider. She held key communications roles at Carondelet for more than a decade and lead their marketing and public relations efforts. While working for two of the community's top 15 employers, she honed her skills and experience in media relations, crisis communication planning and employee relations management.
Jan has a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics. Most recently, she served on the communications advisory council of Ascension Health, the nation's largest faith-based health care organization. She currently serves on the Community Advisory Board for the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Clinic, the American Heart Association's Southern Chapter Executive Board, the Nominating Committee for the Sahuaro Girl Scouts Council and is the Professional Development Chair for the Public Relations Society of America Southern Arizona Chapter. She is this year's recipient of the PRimus Communications Professional Award for Southern Arizona.

Jennifer Malleo Osinga, Regional Vice President/Account Director
Early on as a professional ballet dancer, Jennifer learned what it takes to command the stage with grace and style. Today she gives her clients' center stage.
Jennifer has more than 10 years of public relations, technology and human resource management experience. She has been responsible for several business start-ups and oversees Strongpoint's California operation.
Her client experience encompasses every facet of strategic public relations and marketing communications including: strategy, positioning and messaging, media relations, collateral materials development and event management. Her role with Strongpoint includes strategic planning and media relations for Rosemont Copper and Cox Communications, as well as providing project management and social media strategy for other clients. Jennifer's previous client experience includes work with the University of Phoenix, Coldwell Banker, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and YWCA.
Jennifer is a founding member and past president of Ad2 Tucson, a division of the Tucson Chapter of the American Advertising Federation and a board member of the American Diabetes Association. She was honored with the Inside Tucson Business Up and Comer Award in 2008. Her previous accomplishments include the operational development and restructuring of a local retail and contracting firm, and as human resource director for SimplexGrinnell, a division of Tyco International.
After retiring from professional ballet, Jennifer attended Pima Community College and the University of Arizona.

Joann Hurley, Public Relations Director
Joann's diverse background in marketing and public relations combined with her experience as a professional counselor blend to give her a unique analytical perspective on public relations challenges.
She claims that the depth of her experience in the Phoenix market as community relations coordinator for The Arizona Republic, promotion director at the then number one ranked radio station, and later as public relations director for one of the top advertising agencies has helped her be a better counselor; and that her experience as a therapist and substance abuse counselor has given her a better understanding of marketing psychology.
Most recently, Joann provided counseling for patients in a 28-day residential treatment setting for chemical dependency and dual diagnosis. Additionally, she provided marketing and public relations services for the treatment center including advertising, news story generation, preparation of collateral materials, market research, a speakers bureau, and negotiated a repeating feature on the cable television show Intervention.
Joann also served as special projects coordinator for the Arthritis Foundation Greater Southwest Chapter organizing and promoting educational programs and support groups for families through special events, public speaking and media relations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of that organization and co-chaired the 2009 Phoenix Walk.
Joann holds an associate's degree in journalism, a bachelor's degree in psychology, and dual master's degree in Professional Counseling and Clinical Counseling from Ottawa University.

Amy Moloney, Office Manager
They say you can tell the character of a person by the way they untangle Christmas lights and handle lost luggage. A master "untangler" and "handler", Amy keeps the Strongpoint office running smoothly.
Amy brings extensive managerial and organizational experience to Strongpoint as the operations coordinator. She provides broad logistical support for the Strongpoint team, overseeing the firm's client project management, administration, and online work. One of Amy's specialties is the creation and management of a speakers bureau, from database management and direct mail to speaker placement, A/V support and follow-up.
Previously the training and education supervisor for the Southern Arizona Chapter of the American Red Cross, Amy facilitated communication with the organization and implemented programs to improve productivity. For nearly ten years, she served as a corporate lead trainer for Thomas & King, Inc., an Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar franchisee, successfully opening 27 new restaurants around the country. Amy was responsible for the development and implementation of new training programs both for Thomas King and the Southern Arizona Red Cross.

Audra Mitchell, Web Developer and Graphic Designer
Navigating the Internet is smooth sailing with a stand-out web site. Audra has more than 15 years of experience in graphic design and brand identity development as well as ten years in web development. She holds a bachelor's degree in Multimedia/Graphic Arts from The University of California, San Diego.
Audra has coordinated national multi-media campaigns for both start-up companies and well-established industry veterans from concept through implementation with proven success. She has experience with national brands such as Microsoft, Bauer and CCM and has developed internal communications sites for local agencies such as Tucson Unified School District, Rosemont Copper and Tucson Electric Power.
